SSEF...
heh todae marks the end of SSEF. got no award (cop? haha) but dun really feel disappointed. my project is quite short, 5 weeks to be exact so didnt spend much time researching nor coming up with brilliant ideas. hence i guess i dun really deserve to get any award anyway haha. congrats to those who won! having spent so much time and effort, i salute them.
yihang, though you nvr received any award, u yourself noe that u have put in much effort into your research so i think you should take pride in your work. nvr mind if you didnt get anything. life still goes on. dun worry about your h3 grades; they'll be fine. juz dun let this failure affect your passion towards research. jiayou! u can do better next time!

Can't sleep...
blocks are around the corner and the mugging spree is starting again :( getting straight As is everyone's aim. but ppl tend to mug too hard during this period, till they can't sleep (tt's the theme of this post!)
INSOMNIA!!! i hate it. i dread it. but i can't escape from it >.< everytime during exam time i never fail to get insomnia. JUST CAN'T SLEEP. how? go to bed at 11pm and lie there till 2am and try to sleep? sigh.
came across this article. seems cool. http://www.googobits.com/articles/1000-fight-insomnia-20-things-that-may-be-keeping-you-awake.html
here are some tips which i think might work:
1. A wandering mind. Meditate, do yoga, or practice breathing exercises before bed. They will take your mind off the tensions of the day and prepare you for a restful night. “That’s the secret behind the old remedy of counting sheep,” says Richard Evans, a sleep laboratory technician and certified hypnotherapist. “You focus your mind on something relaxing and immediately forget about everything else that causes tension and tends to keep you awake.” You can also try keeping a journal and making a habit out of jotting down all the day’s worries before going to sleep. Seeing them down on paper is great therapy and it will ease your mind.
2. Too much work. Make your bedroom a work-free zone. No laptops, planners, or appointment books allowed beyond the door.
3. Going to bed too early. If you have been in bed for more than 30 minutes and still can’t fall asleep, get up and do something else until you start feeling sleepy again. “Choose a boring activity,” says Evans. “Read an old college textbook or watch the worst movie you can find on TV.”
4. Wrong pose. Try sleeping on your back --It takes the pressure off your internal organs and helps your body relax better. Never sleep on your stomach, since it crushes your lungs and makes deep breathing basically impossible.
jiayou for this tough time as we brace ourselves for the final showdown!
